Hi Everyone - hope your spring/summer is going well!

We are pleased to announce the arrival of our first annual EUCHRE Bonspiel!

Just to be clear, this is NOT curling - it is card playing.

For those not familiar with Euchre, it is a simple trump style card game - very easy to learn.  We will hold a short session to teach the game and a refresher for those who haven't played in a while.   We are going to set up multiple tables and have everyone move from table to table so you will have different partners and meet different people!

WHEN          :   THURSDAY JUNE 1st, 2023

TIME             :   7:00 pm - Instruction and Refresher

                          7:30 pm - Start Playing 

Open to BDCC Members and guests.

The club and bar will be open for business as of 6:00 pm.

If you don't wish to play Euchre, feel free to bring other games, hang out or use the outdoor backyard games. 

Please email and/or call me if you have any questions - I would appreciate confirmation of your attendance by Tuesday, May 30th, so we can set up the tables and chairs as needed!

This will be a fun and relaxing evening - don't hesitate to bring friends along!

Happening at the Club this Summer

Hi everyone. I wanted to let you know of some of the things that we’re working on for this off-season. Just because the fun on the ice might be over, that doesn’t mean the action at the club stops!

Confirmed happenings so far;

-  Thursday Nights:

o   Starting Thursday May 18^th, and every second Thursday afterwards to start, the club will be open and a bartender will be present as of 18:00. We bought new picnic tables and backyard games for everyone’s entertainment, and of course, you’re welcome to bring your own. On rainy days, decks of cards, watch baseball, or whatever other board game you wish to bring. “Drop-in” is free, bring a friend, or meet up with your fellow curling members. We may look to add darts or other indoor games down the road. Dates will be posted on the club calendar page soon.

-          Saturday August 5^th 

o   BDCC’s annual golf tournament day. A round of golf at Riviere Rouge and a BBQ supper back at the curling club. For those who don’t golf, you’re more than welcome to come for the supper-only. Gather your friends and family or co-workers, this is open to everyone. Registration will open shortly.

Ideas being worked on;

-          Gin tasting, Comedy Night, another, different band night, Kid’s Day…
